Prescription Refills
Our goal is to make sure that you never run out of your medication while ensuring that you receive the appropriate follow-up and monitoring.
Please call your pharmacy, not the office, 3-4 days before you run out of medication. The following guidelines may help you to understand
how often you should be seen when on various medications or for certain conditions.
| Diabetes | Every 3-6 months |
| Hypertension | At least every 6 months |
| Cholesterol problems | Every 3-6 months |
| Thyroid problems | Every 3-6 months until labs are normal |
| Hormones | At least yearly but more often until labs are normal |
| Allergy | Yearly if well controlled on medicines |
| Depression and anxiety | At least every 6 months, more often when treatment is started |
Don’t forget your annual physical!
Triplicate Prescription Requests
Please provide one week’s notice for a new triplicate prescription for controlled substances, such as Adderall and Ritalin.
Controlled Substances
Controlled substances cannot be refilled over the phone and require a follow-up visit. Substances are designated as controlled because
they carry a higher risk of side effects and dependence. Examples of controlled substances are medications with codeine, Xanax (alprazolam),
Klonopin (clonazepam), Ambien, and Sonata.
90 day Mail Order
Please call your request in to our office. Your provider will weite up the script and you will have to pick it up to mail it to your mail order service.
